For families

When the person you love is in our care

Choosing a home for a parent or partner is one of the hardest decisions a family makes. Here's what you can expect from us, and answers to the questions families ask most.

Our home provides sensitive and skillful care in a warm and homely environment.

Our primary aim is to enable residents to live as normally as possible in a situation where their individuality, independence and personal dignity are respected.

Our care staff understand the different types of dementia well through the training we provide. Whether residents are experiencing memory loss, falls, communication difficulties or behavioural changes, we gently accompany them on their journey — encouraging, supporting and reassuring at all times. Our staff are taught to always see the individual rather than the illness.

A warm, homely, non-institutional environment with smiles, laughter and friendship as the norm.

Questions families ask

Can we visit, and how often?
Yes — family and friends are welcome. We want the home to feel open and connected, and there's a private dining room for celebrations and special occasions.
Will the staff really get to know my parent?
With only 21 residents, they do. Care is planned around each person's history and routine, and one-to-one moments — doing nails, chatting about the past — are woven into the day.
How do you approach dementia?
Our staff are trained to see the individual rather than the illness. Whether it's memory loss, communication difficulties or behavioural changes, we accompany residents gently — encouraging, supporting and reassuring throughout.
What about meals and dietary needs?
All meals are freshly prepared on site each day, with individual dietary needs and personal preferences accommodated. Residents can dine in the restaurant or in their room.
Is religious or cultural observance supported?
Yes — we make accommodation for residents' worship and observance needs as part of person-centred care.
